Dear Ms Fehler,
ENDORSEMENT OF THE AFRICA ADVENTURE CAPE TO CAPE EXPEDITION
Your letter dated 23 August 2007 has reference.
The Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism would like to congratulate you and your organisation on the initiative you have undertaken to promote Southern and East Africa through the Africa Adventure Cape to Cape Expedition.
This initiative will go a long way in showcasing what we have as a continent and what South Africa can offer as a country. It will also make Africans aware of the attractions within their continent and therefore encourage them to travel within their own Continent. My department firmly believes that this is a worthwhile initiative in promoting tourism which will ultimately result in greater tourism spend, trade and more jobs for poor people in Africa and therefore unreservedly endorses this expedition.
Kind regards
MARTHINUS VAN SCHALKWYK, MP
MINISTER OF ENVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRS AND TOURISM

Dear Enya,
SATSA fully supports your exciting Africa Adventure Cape to Cape expedition. This kind of journey certainly
promotes southern and east Africa to the international tourism market.
What we at SATSA also feel is very encouraging is that a private venture such as yours has taken on this
daunting challenge. A 50,000 kilometre expedition through 31 countries from Cape Town to the most
northerly part of Norway, undertaken by ten women in five vehicles, is no mean feat.
We wish you the best of luck and hope that the trip undertaken by your ten tourism ambassadors will also
result in good publicity for the southern African region, and South Africa in particular, resulting in greater
tourism expenditure as well as trade and investment in this part of the world.
Yours sincerely,
Michael Tatalias

Dear Ms. Waters
RE: AFRICA ADVENTURE - CAPE TO CAPE EXPEDITION
We received with much appreciation your letter detailing your proposed expedition from the southernmost tip of Africa, traveling through 29 countries, including Botswana to the northernmost tip of Europe.
This is truly an exciting venture which we believe will go a long way in drawing international interest on Africa.
We fully support the expedition as we believe it will go a long way in further exposing our country to the international markets. Of particular interest also are the roadshows that you will be undertaking in the 15 European countries. These will expose the continent in a very positive way as an expedition like this borders on issues of safety, and security.
We wish to endorse the expedition and offer our support for whatever you may need to ensure smooth passage through Botswana, and at the road shows.
May we take this opportunity to congratulate you for organizing the expedition and affording the continent to showcase its natural beauty seen through the eyes of 14 brave ladies.
Yours Sincerely
Myra Sekgororoane
