The Africa Adventure Cape to Cape Expedition is to start from Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of Africa, traverse the continent, through Europe to its northernmost tip, the Nordkap or North Cape, in Norway.

It could turn into something extraordinary because of being undertaken by a group of 10 fearless women, along with promoting tourism to Africa.

The all-women team will kick off their journey on International Women's Day, March 8 2009, and has the full and unreserved endorsement of Marthinus van Schalkwyk, Minister of Environmental Affairs and Tourism.

Africa Adventure is now calling for applications from women 21 years and older of all social and ethnic backgrounds.
