After weeks of camping and adventure sports in Plett, 14 women were chosen to undertake the Mitsubishi Africa Adventure Cape to Cape Expedition.
The intrepid, all-female team sets off from Cape Agulhas on March 2, 2009 and will travel 35000km overland from the southern tip of Africa to the northern tip of Europe, North Cape in Norway.

The eight -month expedition aims to promote tourism in Africa - after travelling over 20 000km through 14 Africa countries, the team will cross the Mediterranean Sea to Europe where, during the final four months of the expedition, they will publicise their experiences in Africa with roadshows through 44 major cities in 15 European countries.
Congratulations to the final team - standing from left are Ingrid Bohme, Petra Schueller, Monique Hansen, organiser Andrea Doerfert, Julie Farrington, Alicia Proud, Monica Villalobos and Bridgette Johnson; in the middles are Tanya Tiefenthaler, organiser Enya Fehler, Tanya Weyers and Jahna Boshoff, with Marion Le Roux seated in front.
